Hurry Up Please

A Timer for a Wasteland of Meetings.

If you’ve done client work, there’s nothing worse than sitting in a meeting trying to get people to make up their minds while you burn through the budget. Employees often don’t understand that packing a meeting full of people just so they feel included is the worst way to get something accomplished, and on projects with tight time-lines and small budgets, it’s suicide. Yet we’ve all sat through them. During such meetings you wish you had a quick way of showing that effect. Hurryupplease.com hopes to do just that. In that same spirit, it was built in a weeknight (with some final touches in the morning).

It has just a few features:

Update the number of employees or average billable while the timer is running and the calculation adjusts from that point

Use query string parameters to make a URL you can bookmark for a regular team or email to someone. (e.g. http://hurryupplease.com/?billable=300&people=5)

Set your own currency.

Click the running amount to pause and—get a load of this—RESET!

Let me know if you find any bugs or want any features. Enjoy.
